You will no doubt have seen the email from DE stating that Alta Maths will not be available to schools from the beginning of July.
DE took the decision in principle some time ago not to extend the contract for Alta Maths from July of this year. Ardluce Limited, who now own and manage Alta Maths, has been in discussion with DE and CCEA for some months to find a way of providing a service to schools at a reasonable cost following the expiry of the contract. We made a proposal which is under consideration but as yet we have received no decision.
It has always been our intention to organise a smooth transition for schools to any agreed new arrangements and to offer an easily affordable service in 2012/13.
